Healing Invisible Wounds

Ashdod and  Ashkelon,  are some of the cities in the southern region of Israel that have been under severe attack of rockets, and life has been very difficult there. A battery of the Iron Dome system is stationed not far from the shelter in Ashdod, and the women, children and staff, hear the launches of the interceptor missiles, and booms of the exploding missiles in the air. Occasionally a rocket gets through and hits a building – which happened yesterday, again near the shelter. There were repeated warning sirens throughout the evenings.

Our families spend long periods of non-stop alarms and explosions in safe rooms, with constant tension and pressure. Children don’t want to go to school; parents can’t deal with separating from them to go to work.

We all want to help and the best way is by providing funding for therapeutic and recreational activities through WIZO Resilience Program, to bring  relief to the women and children.
